SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KMOX) — Longtime KMOX sports director Ron Jacober, a mainstay in St. Louis sports media for more than four decades, was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday night.

“This is my Cooperstown,” Jacober told a crowd of over 1,600 at the University Plaza Hotel in Springfield.

Jacober joins a Class of 2013 that includes former Cardinal David Eckstein, the 2006 World Series MVP.
