CREVE COEUR, MO (KMOX) – The bow hunting ordinance in Creve Coeur is here to stay, according to the city’s police chief.
17 deer were killed this past season and Chief Glen Eidman says there have not been any incidents in which someone was hurt. All but 3 of the deer were female, which helps reduce the population.
“There’s actually two big groups: one is called the Suburban Bow Hunters and I don’t know how many members they have, and the other set is a father and son combination,” Eidman said.
Eidman says both groups hunt the deer for free so it does not cost the city anything. He says there will not be any changes to the ordinance in the coming years.
