North County Man Found Guilty In Rape Of 82-Year-Old

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) – A man awaiting trial for the sexual assault of a child in 2008 has been found guilty of forcible rape and sodomy, first-degree robbery, and three counts of armed criminal action in the 2011 rape of an 82-year-old woman.

Prosecutors alleged that late on a June night, 24-year-old Dary McCoy posed as a repairman to get into the woman’s north St. Louis County apartment. Once inside. he allegedly pulled a gun on her, taped a sock in her mouth, and bound her with the string of her nightgown.

Jurors received the case around noon Thursday and delivered their verdict a couple hours later. Sentencing is scheduled for March 22.

McCoy has yet to be tried for the earlier attack in which he allegedly assaulted a child under the age of 14 in St. Ann.
