The Repertory Theater of St. Louis will mark’s its 47th season in quiet Webster Groves with a varied selection of titles offering the familiar and the unknown, but all with an opportunity to showcase The Rep’s usual excellence in casting and production.
The new season will begin with Kander and Ebb’s decadent musical delight “Cabaret,” It will be followed by “Fly,” and play on the exploits and contributions of the legendary Tuskegee Airman during World War II in Europe. The classic Agatha Christie thriller “The Mousetrap is the third offering of the new season. A very personal excursion into the world of classical music,” Opus,” is next, followed by another new work, “Other Desert Cities,” a strong family drama.
Closing the season will be the very popular and very funny show biz, slapstick comedy, “Noises Off.” The Rep’s Artistic Director, Steven Woolf, said “We are thrilled with our new season line-up that provides sparking entertainment, high drama, a brilliant musical, a classic mystery and more. We think it will bring our audiences the special kind of experience The Rep is known for.”
