ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - It is getting underway with a restaurant, brew house, hall of fame, and entertainment area, but developers say housing is still a big part of the plan for Ballpark Village.
“The word ‘village’ does imply some residential, too, doesn’t it?” Cardinals President Bill DeWitt III said Friday. “In terms of the future phases, I am really hopeful we will get a big office tenant or two, possibly a residential tower, and additional retail. All those things are on the table for the next phases.”
Developer Blake Cordish tells KMOX that residential development is definitely part of the plan. “Our vision, ultimately and we believe very quickly in the future phases, is a village, meaning it will have residential, it will have hotel, it will have office, and it will have additional retail.”
Cordish says phase one will put in all the foundation, literally and figuratively, to be able to quickly move to future phases.
