Timothy Gilbert faces more than a dozen charges after he broke into a Bevo Mill home, then kidnapped and raped a girl inside.
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — An 18 year-old man faces a dozen charges after he broke into a Bevo Mill home, then kidnapped and raped a girl inside.
Timothy Gilbert was charged Sunday with five counts of armed criminal action, kidnapping, forcible rape, attempted forcible sodomy, sexual abuse and two counts of stealing under $500.
Gilbert broke into a home in the 3900 block of Delor St. on December 15th.
According to court documents, the girl who was under 16 years old, woke up during a robbery attempt. Gilbert then forced her at knifepoint to leave the home through a back door. Police say that’s when he pulled off her pajamas, spit on her and raped her.
Gilbert fled the scene with the girl’s clothing, purse and cellphone.
Authorities said they later found Gilbert’s DNA on the victim’s bra strap.
His bond was set at $75,000.
