ST. LOUIS (AP) – The St. Louis Zoo was a popular spot last year.
The zoo announced Monday that attendance at the zoo in 2012 was the highest it ever recorded.
Records show 3,519,926 people visited the zoo, an increase over the 3,019,597 in 2011.
Zoo officials also say visitors gave the attraction an overall satisfaction rating of 9.4 on a 10-point scale, the best score ever recorded.
The previous zoo attendance record was 3,101,830 in 2009.
