HIGHLAND, IL. (KMOX) - He earned high praise from the parents of his students, but now a metro east martial arts instructor is accused of videotaping himself having sex with children under the age of 12.

20-year-old Christopher Horton of Highland faces a federal charge of sexual exploitation of a child.

US Attorney Stephen Wigginton says the incidents occurred between May of 2012 and last Saturday.

On “Rate My Karate Instructor Dot Com” parents call Horton , “a wonderful instructor” who “builds a strong bond with his students” and is “great with people.”

He’s being held without bond.
