ST. LOUIS (KMOX)-A former insurance claims adjuster is having to give up his Ford Mustang, his Harley Davidson and $41,000, after pleading guilty to defrauding his employer.
Brian Behl admitted in federal court, to falsifying damage claims, which resulted in Allianz Insurance of O’Fallon, Mo. making some $400 thousand in payments to a ficticious salvage company he had set up.
Friday, Behl pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud. He faces up to 20 years in prison, and may be ordered to pay back the $400,000, when he is sentenced in May
Allianz clients are companies whose employees relocate for employment purposes. Employees file claims when property is damaged during a move. Behl was fired from Allianz in September.
