Judge Derails Repeat Robber

A St. Louis man is off to prison for robbing several banks last year.
The Post-Dispatch  reports that 44-year-old Odell McKinnis was sentenced for first- and second-degree robbery and second-degree attempted robbery.
In February last year, he’s accused of trying to rob a bank but then getting impatient and leaving when the teller took too long to get the money together.

The robber made it worse when he left the robbery note behind.  But, he still wanted money, so, police say, he robbed another nearby bank about an hour later.

And then, three days later, he robbed two more banks.

By then, police say, he’d gotten bolder, telling the teller he wanted only one-hundred dollars bills or he’d go to her house and kill her.

Friday, the judge said that’s enough.

McKinnis got 12 years.
