According to the website S-T-L gas prices dot com, the average price of regular unleaded jumped 13 cents in one day to put Saint Louis equal to the national average of three-67 per gallon.
Saint Louis is usually lower than the national average.
Just a week ago, local motorists were paying three-47 per gallon.
A month ago, the price was three-oh-five.
Analysts say seasonal maintenance at refineries is one reason for the increase.
