ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – With veteran goalies Jaroslav Halak and Brian Elliott returning to the ice, the Blues announced Thursday morning that Jake Allen has been assigned to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate Peoria Rivermen.

The 22-year-old Allen appeared in five NHL games, posting a 3-1-0 record, including a 2.62 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage with the Blues this season.

During his most recent recall, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound goaltender became the first Blues rookie since Reinhard Divis (2002-2004) to win each of his first three NHL decisions.

With Peoria, Allen has dressed in 31 games this season posting a 12-16-2 record including a 2.94 goals against average, .903 save percentage and two shutouts.
