ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Two warming sites will be available in the City of St. Louis at Centenary United Methodist Church at 1621 Pine and The City shelter at 12th and Park.
But many other shelters are not open due to the weather. The United Way’s Carrie Zukoski tells KMOX that people in need of assistance should dial 211.
“Please, please keep your heat on,” Zukoski said. “If you do have electricity, it’s very important to stay warm. You can definitely call the United Way at 211 and they can help you find the resources to pay your bill.”
Zukoski says her organization is working closely with the Red Cross “who are possibly going to open up emergency shelters if there are power outages and things like that.”
