CLAYTON, MO (KMOX) – St. Louis County offices closed early Thursday afternoon due to concerns over the weather and “deteriorating road conditions,” officials said in a release.

All St. Louis County municipal courts were also closed for the evening.

“County Highways and Traffic personnel are asking all citizens to try to avoid being on roadways unless absolutely necessary,” a county spokesperson said in a release.

St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley mentioned in a tweet Thursday that only “non-essential personnel” were told to go home.
