ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Saturday marked U.S. Army soldier Bradley Manning’s 1000th day of detainment for allegedly releasing secret military information to the website WikiLeaks.
A local branch of the St. Louis based “Veterans For Peace” group held a small rally at Kiener Plaza downtown, as a show of support for Manning’s release.
Reese Forbes was one of the demonstrators, “He (Manning) violated regulations, but that was for a higher purpose. The time served now is enough.”
Bradley Manning’s court martial is expected to begin June 1.
He faces the possibility of life in prison.
