COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Heavy snow and wind are suspected of causing part of a canopy over gas pumps at a Columbia convenience store to collapse.
The Columbia Missourian reports the damage at the Break Time store occurred late Monday or early Tuesday while the store was closed. No injuries have been reported.
All electricity to the property has been shut off, and access to the store has been blocked.
Manager Andrea Gatzemeyer says it’s unclear when the Break Time will reopen. She learned of the damage when a friend sent her a picture and said she was “shocked” by how bad it was. She says the concern is that the rest of the roofing could give way in the wind.
