BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) - Slick roads may be to blame for two deadly traffic crashes in St. Clair County, Friday night.
The coroner’s office says 26-year-old Robin Scott and 17-year-old Jyieosha DeWalt — both of Collinsville — were killed when their car hit a van head-on near the Our Lady of the Snows Shrine in Belleville.
The second crash happened on the Route 13 overpass at Route 15.
51-year-old Thomas Hutchison and 9-year-old Zachary Hutchison —both of Belleville — died a short time later at hospitals.

BELLEVILLE, IL (KMOX) - Icy roads are blamed for numerous accidents that left four people dead in the Metro East.
KMOV reports a nine-year-old boy and 51-year-old man were killed around 8:30 p.m. Friday on Route 13 at the Route 15 overpass in Belleville. Two other people were critically injured.
The second accident happened shortly after nine p.m. on Route 13 near Our Lady of the Snows Shrine. A man and woman were killed.
Illinois State Police say icy roads were responsible for ten other major accidents Friday night. A Belleville police officer was hit by a car while working one of the accidents. He was treated at the hospital and released.
