BELLEVILLE, IL (KMOX) A Swansea woman found dead in her apartment has been identified.

The Major Case Squad has been activated to investigate the death of 50-year-old Carmen Boyd. Her body was found around 10:30 Friday morning in her second-floor apartment in the 200 block of Marcella Drive.

Police are not releasing details of the case as of yet.
