ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Police say a man suspected of shooting a woman and her teenage daughter in a domestic dispute in south St. Louis has also been killed during a shootout with police following a chase.
No word on how the victims knew the shooter.
St. Louis police received a call around 2:15 p.m. that a shooting had taken place at a home in the 4600 block of Tennessee.
SWAT along with numerous police cars arrived on the scene and surrounded the home.
An area business owner who did not want to be identified said he saw a woman being pulled from the porch of the home and in his words, “it looked like she may not have made it.”
Police say a mother, who has not been identified yet, died at the scene from her injures. Her teenage daughter, who was also shot, is expected to recover.
While detectives were investigating the scene police spotted a car matching the description of the suspected shooter’s. A chase and shootout followed. Details are sketchy but police say the suspect was fatally shot by police.
