A bold and sexy story of a theatrical audition that is part real, part fantasy, very alluring and occasionally affected by the weather is part of the unusual story mix in “Venus In Fur,” which opens Friday March 8th in The Studio Theater of The Rep after two preview performances. “Venus In Fur” will run until March 24. The advance ticket sales have already exceeded expectations.
The play was written by David Ives and is directed by Seth Gordon. The role of the girl, Vanda, is played by St. Louisan Sarah Nedwek.
Opening March 13 on the main stage of The Rep is “Double Indemnity.” Based on the evocative 1930s film noir classic of the same title, “Double Indemnity” is a tale of greed, deception and illicit love. It will be the final show of The Rep’s current main stage season and will run through April 13.
Opening March 13 at The Fox and running through March 24 is the stirring musical, “War Horse.” It features the amazing life-sized puppets created by the world-famous Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa. For more information on all these shows, click on the links below.
