Catholic Supply Store Sees Papal Sales Boost

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – It was a big day for Pope Francis I at the Vatican Tuesday as he was officially installed as Pope. Back here at home, local Catholics are paying close attention.

Lara Traina at Catholic Supply in south St. Louis said they are taking tons of pre-orders for items that are on their way. Holy cards with a picture of Pope Francis on them are the most popular, followed by 8×10 photos and posters.

“We’ve got rosaries, those will probably be the next common item, rosaries. And key chains, magnets, candles, anything you can use for devotional prayer to pray for our Pope or to just celebrate the Pope,” Traina said.

She added that there is much hope in the local community that Pope Francis I will help reignite the church.
