ISP, Anheuser-Busch to Post Billboards Encouraging Sober Driving

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Illinois State Police are teaming up with Anheuser-Busch to post billboards encouraging designating a sober driver.

Officials from the state and the brewer announced the second year of the campaign on Wednesday.

Ten billboards thanking motorists for driving sober are posted along interstate highways in metropolitan Chicago and along the Illinois-Missouri border in East St. Louis.

State Police Director Hiram Grau says Anheuser-Busch is a “great corporate leader and community partner on such an important message.”

Anheuser-Busch has worked with ten states since 2002 on safe-driving billboard campaigns.

The billboard features two state troopers in uniform and the message, “Thanks for Designating a Driver.”
