ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Seeking help on the blue line, the St. Louis Blues completed a trade Saturday with the Buffalo Sabres for Jordan Leopold.

The 32-year-old defenseman is in his 10th NHL season, with 610 games played. He has 2 goals, 6 assists, and 14 penalty minutes in 24 games this season.

In exchange, the Blues are sending Buffalo their 2nd round pick in the 2013 NHL entry draft, plus a conditional 5th rounder.

Jordan Leopold is a Minnesota native who was drafted by Anaheim in 1999. This will be his sixth NHL team.
