Central Library, the flagship of the St. Louis Public Library system, continues raking in praise for the $70-million dollar restoration that transformed the facility from historic gem to breathtaking architectural wonder.
This time, some high praise on The Washington Post’s website! Author Ron Charles calls it “the most gorgeous — and usable — library I have ever seen.”
Recently, Central Library won the popular vote for best Library renovation, up against libraries from around the world.
And yet, every day I run into people who tell me they’ve NEVER BEEN to Central Library. They are really missing out. It was one of my favorite buildings before it closed for its renovation and I didn’t think it was possible for it to be any more beautiful. I was wrong!
