ST. LOUIS (AP) — Two men are OK after the Smart car they were in plunged into the Mississippi River north of downtown St. Louis.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the driver was apparently trying to turn the vehicle around Tuesday when it backed over an embankment and went into the river. The men were able to get out of the small car and rescue workers helped them up the bank of the river.
