ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — The St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission (CVC) is about to get hit with a budget breaking legal bill from the Rams.
Commission President Kitty Ratcliffe said Wednesday she expects a bill to the tune of two-million dollars any day now. The fees were wrung up during the dome arbitration process last year.
But Ratcliffe says the arbitration process was worth it.
“That was the cost of keeping them (Rams) here for another three years, and trying to keep them here longer than that.”
The bill will be paid for out of the CVC’s $5.5 million marketing budget, which Ratcliffe calls a “substantial bite.”
The CVC estimated last week that its own arbitration expenses totaled about $2 million as well.
