Unity Run For Boston Bombing Victims
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - More than a thousand runners turned out in St. Louis’ Forest Park on Saturday to show support for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing and the running community.
Organizers of the Go St. Louis Marathon put together the run. There was no fee for what was deemed the Boston Marathon Unity Run.
Donations, however, were accepted for “The One Fund,” a non-profit created to help bombing victims with their medical expenses. (click here for more information)
Several runners wore blue and yellow, the official Boston Marathon colors.
Go St. Louis began organizing the run Wednesday, two days after the bombing at the Boston Marathon.
