Police Identify Woman Found Strangled On Bike Trail Near Riverfront

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Police have identified the woman whose body was found Wednesday morning on a bike trail near the Mississippi River in St. Louis.
She is identified as 57-year-old Robyn Robel of the 2400 block of Orleans.
St. Louis Police say she was strangled.
Her lifeless body was found in the 1200 block of Lewis Street around 3 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Lt. John Green says she was likely killed sometime between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 2 Wednesday morning.
Robel’s purse and other personal belongings were found nearby on the trail.
Officials don’t have any suspects or good leads at this time.
