Domestic Dispute Between Mother and Son Turns Deadly in Ballwin

BALLWIN, Mo. (KMOX) – Ballwin police have identified the man and his mother involved in a shooting overnight.
Police say 41-year-old Brian Walker was shot and killed by his 81-year-old mother Johanna around 1:00 Thursday morning.
When police arrived at the home in the 700 block of Clayworth they found Brian with two bullet wounds to the upper chest and Johanna had a wound on her right hand.
Both were transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, the son died about an hour later. Johanna remains hospitalized, her injury is not thought to be life threatening.
In a statement Johanna told police her son, Brian had attacked and injured her with a large knife. When he came at her a second time, she shot him twice in the chest.
A large fixed-blade knife and a revolver were seized from the home.
As to what lead up to the knife attack and shooting, police are not saying at this time and speculate it will be at least a couple of days before they have the forensic evidence to sort out exactly what happened.
