Bob Barker Speaks Out About Wash. U’s Use of Cats in Labs

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Bob Barker, retired Price is Right host, is offering to pay $75,000 for infant simulators for Washington University, so that students don’t have to practice infant life support on live cats anymore.

He’s even offering to find homes for the nine cats that the university uses, if they’ll take him up on his offer.

Barker claims that Wash U. is the only school in the country which hasn’t switched over to the new, high-tech mannequins.

A Washington University spokesperson says the mannequins just aren’t as realistic for students.
