ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - With Father Lawrence Biondi announcing his intention to retire as president of St. Louis University, the search for his replacement will begin in the fall.
That’s the word from the administrative offices in DuBourg Hall.
Biondi says he will remain as president as long as needed and assist with the transition.
On Saturday, the SLU Board of Trustees elected J. Joe Adorjan to take over as chair of the board.
It’s Adorjan’s third time as chair, most-recently serving in 2005. He replaces Thomas Brouster.
Adorjan says with trustee Pat Sly being chosen as his vice-chair, he’s confident Saint Louis University has a strong leadership team in place to advise Father Biondi and the board in moving forward.
