EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) — The Edwardsville Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect of a bank robbery.

At approximately 2:11 p.m. Monday the Edwardsville Police Department received a report of a robbery that had just occurred at 1067 S. State Rt. 157 – Scott Credit Union.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 20 – 25 years of age, six feet tall, wearing a dark green fedora, dark green windbreaker jacket and tan slacks.

The suspect entered the Scott Credit Union, approached a teller, handing her a note demanding money while inferring he possessed a weapon. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken by the suspect who fled on foot northbound across the parking lot.
