ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — A St. Louis father is in police custody after admitting he struck his two-year-old son who later died. The boy is identified as Isiah Barber.
Officers found the toddler unresponsive after being called to the family’s home in the 7000 block of Weil around 7 p.m. Thursday. The boy died a short time later.
Detectives say Isiah’s 28-year-old father told officers he struck his son in the chest. Police have not said why.
Two other children, the victim’s twin brother and a 4-year-old, are now in protective custody.
Charges have not yet been filed.
