ELLISVILLE, Mo. (KMOX) – Impeachment isn’t permanent. At least, that’s what ousted Ellisville Mayor Adam Paul is hoping.
The ex-Mayor’s allies managed to place a resolution to rescind his impeachment on tonight’s council agenda. Paul says three of six councilmen will definitely vote to put him back in office and two will vote against, leaving one swing vote: Cindy Pool.
Pool tells KMOX News she’s concerned about making a decision on the matter while a Circuit Court considers the same thing.
That said, Pool says she hasn’t made up her mind yet. “Even if we were to vote on it. What does it mean? It means the vote last time was worthless or the vote this time was worthless.”
Mayor Paul was impeached last month, he claims, because he opposed tax breaks for a Walmart. Paul was impeached with a 5-1 vote from the council.
