Man Dead After Road-Rage Incident in North St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Investigators are piecing together what happened after a bizarre road-rage incident Thursday in north St. Louis that left one man dead.

Police say it started when a man felt he was cut off by a work van on I-70 in north St. Louis. That angry driver then proceeded to follow the another driver off the interstate on to Union.

At a red light at Bircher, the enraged man got out of his car and tried to smash the van’s windshield with a hammer. The driver in the van speed off when the light turned green.

At other light at Union and Brown the man wielding the hammer jumped onto the van’s hood again and tried again to break the windshield. When the van’s driver tried to drive off again the enraged man was thrown to the street where he suffered fatal injuries.

The names of those involved are not being released at this time.
