Man Suffered Cardiac Arrest Inside Burning Building

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — A man who suffered a cardiac arrest while in a burning St. Louis building Thursday morning is now being check out by doctors.

Firefighters found the man on the fifth floor of the old Rexall building in the 3900 block of N. Kingshighway. The fire was burning on the sixth floor.

Emergency crews carried him out and he was rushed to the hospital. No word on his condition.

The first firefighters on the scene called for extra help so a second alarm was sounded. The fire was quickly put out.

No word what caused the fire.
