Arrest Made in Spanish Lake Delivery Driver Robbery

SPANISH LAKE, MO (KMOX) – St. Louis County police say they’ve made the first of what could be several arrests in connection with Monday’s robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Spanish Lake.

Officer Randy Vaughn says Ava Jackson, 20, of Spanish Lake is accused of “setting up” the robbery.

“This female had placed a phone call and was fully aware of the operation that was going to take place,” he said.

Vaughn says police are still looking for the people who jumped out from behind bushes and pulled guns on the Domino’s Pizza employee. They took an undisclosed amount of cash and the pizza.

The delivery driver was not injured.

Area police have been working undercover with pizza restaurants since November of last year when a second delivery driver was killed in a robbery.

“We had 18 of these incidents in the year and a half before and this would be the second since,” Vaughn said.
