ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Ameren Missouri says it deployed about 800 linemen, tree trimmers and field checkers, Saturday morning, to ramp up power restoration efforts following Friday night’s severe weather.

It is also asking for help from utility providers in other states— a mutual-aid request went out for 400-500 linemen.

As of 8:30am there were 85,000 Ameren Missouri customers without electricity, mostly in the Berkeley, Florissant, Black Jack, Bridgeton, rural north St. Louis County, and St. Charles areas.
