ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Ameren Missouri says about 49,000 customers remained without electricity, Sunday evening, following Friday’s storms.
Forty-thousand locations had their power restored in the previous 24 hours.
Ameren Missouri senior vice president Michael Moehn says restoration has been hampered by significant infrastructure damage, including 200 broken utility poles.
Moehn says crews are first repairing damage that will restore the greatest number of customers in the least amount of time, “We’ll have some single outages that go into Tuesday, but the vast majority of customers will have service restored in the next 48 hours.”
Ameren Missouri tells us the most-significant damage to its system occurred at 170 and Wabash, Frost Industrial Road south of 170, and in Maryland Heights near the Hollywood Casino.
