Kidd Hired as Nets Head Coach

Nine days ago, Jason Kidd hung up his  jersey.  Today, the Brooklyn Nets decided to bring him back to the NBA as the team’s next head coach.

After interviewing for the job Monday, Nets GM Billy King was impressed with Kidd’s vision for the club.

“Jason is a proven winner and leader with an incredible wealth of basketball knowledge and experience,” King said.  “This will be a natural transition for him to move into the role of head coach.”

Because Kidd has no coaching experience, it will be important to surround him with an experienced group of assistant coaches.
