ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – As the summer weather continues to heat up, the charity Cool Down St. Louis is seeking donations to help the poor and disabled keep cool.

“This week we’re trying to stay ahead of what we hope will not be a blistering hot and deadly summer,” says Reverend Earl Nance Jr. “Our social service partners are going to work like the dickens to try to help as many seniors and the disable as much as possible.”

Ameren Missouri is donating 240 air conditioners.

Cool Down hopes to raise $200,000 in donations in order to get through the summer. Donations can be made at any Missouri or Illinois UMB bank.
