ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Laclede Gas customers likely will not end up paying more than they currently do for their gas service in the coming months.
Though Laclede filed a rate case last December, spokesman Rick Zucker says the company doesn’t need to raise rates in order to keep up with costs this year.
“We have reached an agreement, we Laclede Gas, with the other parties to the case, to keep rates where they are,” Zucker said. “We’ve presented that agreement to the Public Service Commission and they will rule on it, we think, in the next couple of weeks.”
At a public meeting in Creve Coeur Monday night, Zucker told the few people who showed up that their bill wouldn’t be any higher next month than it is right now.
The rate cases come up for consideration every three years, making it unlikely consumers will see their bill change any time soon.
