SCOTT CITY, Mo. (AP) – A southeast Missouri woman is expected to make a full recovery after being shocked while saving a cat from a flooded basement.

A woman went to the basement and saw a cat struggling in the water. She got the cat to safety but was shocked from an electrical current as she unplugged cords from an outlet that was under water.
She was taken to a hospital for evaluation. The woman’s name was not released.
