37 Heroin Capsules Seized in Illinois Traffic Stop

LITCHFIELD, Ill. (KMOX) – A recent traffic stop in Litchfield, Ill., resulted in the seizure of 37 heroin capsules.

Monday, a District 18 trooper stopped a grey 1998 Chevrolet van on US Route 66 at Old Route 66 in Macoupin County for a speeding violation.

Police say the driver and passengers showed signs of suspicious behavior.

Upon further investigation, police found 37 capsules of heroin concealed in the vehicle.

David L. Simpson, 50, of Lake Ka-ho was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
