Man Charged After Police Chase Injures His Son

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office has issued charges against a man accused of fleeing from police and crashing his car, critically injuring his son Thursday.

Alfred Hargrove, 29, is charged with assault, armed criminal action, endangering the welfare of a child, and resisting arrest.

Hargrove allegedly fled from St. Louis County Police before crashing his car at South Broadway and Marceau. His son was not secured in a child seat.

A second vehicle was struck in the collision and critically injured.

Authorities say a large quantity of marijuana was found in Hargrove’s car.
