Officers Injured, Suspect in Custody After Manhunt

BRIDGETON, Mo. (KMOX) – The suspect who injured two Maryland Heights police officers Friday morning is in custody.
The incident began around 7:20 a.m. when Maryland Heights police pulled the suspect over. During their conversation the suspect decided to drive off catching one officer and dragging them, briefly. The other officer was injured when the door hit them. Both of their injures are considered minor.
Shortly after, the suspect abandoned his car and took off on foot in the area of Fee Fee Road, at the border of Bridgeton and Maryland heights.
He was caught about an hour later.
Its unclear why the suspect was stopped in the first place.
