ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Cardinals fans woke up Sunday wanting to know the latest on catcher Yadier Molina’s injury to his surgically-repaired knee.
On KMOX’s “Sports on a Sunday Morning” show, Cards general manager John Mozeliak said no major problems were found during Saturday’s tests, “It looked great on the MRI. There’s really no indication from a medical standpoint that there are problems. I think it’s just about being smart here and managing it properly.”
Mozeliak said he and manager Mike Matheny will work on a plan to give Molina some extra rest in the days leading up to the All-Star Break.
It was announced Saturday that fans picked Molina to start for the National League All-Star team in New York.
