Franklin joins Manning Passing Academy as camp counselor

St. Louis, Mo (KMOX) –  James Franklin, quarterback of Mizzou football will spend part of his summer as a camp counselor at the Manning Passing Academy. The football camp coordinated by Peyton Manning, quarterback of the Denver Broncos, holds his quarterback skills building camp from July 11-14 in Thibodaux, La. Athletes that are entering grades 8-12 will have the opportunity to learn from and participate in drills with Archie, Eli and Peyton Manning, and their elite staff.

Franklin enters his senior year with the Tigers starting with a home game against Murry State (Ky.) on Aug. 31. He was injuried most of his junior season in 2012. Franklin, as a sophomore in 2011 accumulated 3,846 yards of total offense and 36 total touchdowns. His career as a Tiger he has thrown for 4,533 yards, 32 touchdown and reached the endzone on foot 17 times.

Remaining 2013 Mizzou Football season tickets will go on sale to the public beginning Thursday, July 11 at 6 p.m. with online-only sales that evening at www.mutigers.com/buytickets. Friday, July 12, beginning at 8 a.m., fans can call 1-800-CAT-PAWS or 884-PAWS in mid-Missouri, to purchase tickets or visit the Mizzou Arena ticket office.
