UPDATE: St. Peters Police Arrest Credit Card Thief

ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOX) – The St. Peters Police were searching for a woman they claim stole a credit card from a 94-year-old woman, KMOX reported Thursday.

Police say they quickly tracked down the woman who was making the fraudulent purchases.

Once the story hit the media, police say tips started coming in that gave the whereabouts of the suspect, who has taken into custody Friday.

The woman will not be identified until charges are filed.

Police are not sure if the victim dropped her wallet somewhere or whether it was taken from her purse, but the credit card was being used at liquor stores and gas stations in the St. Peters area.
