ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – In a hope to address local concerns of racial injustice the Coalition Against Police Crimes and Repression will hold a rally at noon today in front of the Old Courthouse downtown.

Coalition spokeswoman Jamala Rogers says their group is trying to refocus the grief and anger that came out of the not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman case.

Action they seek is a civilian review board and oversight at the city jail.

Rogers says its symbolic that the rally is held at the Old Courthouse where an injustice was delivered to Dredd Scott.

Today is also Nelson Mandella’s birthday.
